Elena was born in Genova, Italy, and raised from a young age in Tribeca. She returned to her native country to attend university in Rome, where she received her BA in Italian Studies with a concentration in Art History from John Cabot University. She is currently pursuing her MS in Early Childhood Special and General Education at Bank Street College. Elena's life-long interests include traveling, literature, art, dance and culture. She has worked most recently as manager in her family's international restaurant business, but is very excited to be returning to her heart's passion and cherished prior professional experience in education. Elena lives in Queens with her boyfriend Yali, his beautiful daughter Amelie, and their two dogs Cole and Bella.
