The Washington Market school is a member of ISAAGNY and complies with their admissions schedule, therefore, all Admissions notifications will be emailed MARCH 1st, 2017.

Jaya Blakeslee

Administrative Coordinator, Duane Street

Jaya grew up on a spiritual/interfaith community known as Kashi Ashram in Sebastian, Florida. From there, she went on to earn her BA in Art History at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Following that, she spent several years in Aspen, CO gaining experience in the hospitality industry while enjoying the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. In 2008, Jaya moved to NYC where until 2013 she worked as a Family Assistant at Bank Street Head Start. This is Jaya’s third year at WMS and she is very excited for another wonderful and productive year at WMS.

As an Administrative Coordinator Jaya works at the front desk of the Duane Street site. She is responsible for welcoming families and providing administrative support. She collects and organizes all of the health and parent forms for the children at Duane. She ensures that information about school functions is available for parents to review. She also assists in the implementation of events.
