Katie Miller
Classroom 6
Katie grew up in Cambridge, MA, where she began her career in early childhood at the tender age of two, helping her mother at the home day care which she owned and operated. From Cambridge, Katie went to Boston University, where she majored in American Studies and minored in Psychology. While at Boston University, Katie tutored grades K-2 in in literacy and math in the Boston Public Schools. After college, Katie moved to New York, where she worked as a nanny while attending a master’s program in early childhood education at Hunter College; and earned her degree in spring 2011. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading and spending time with her cat, dog and husband (not necessarily in that order) and volunteering at the North Shore Animal League. She is incredibly excited to start her career in classroom 6 at the Washington Market School!
