Kerstin Smith

Kerstin was born and raised in Sweden. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from NYU. Her New York Certification and license allow her to teach nursery through 6th grade. Kerstin has Montessori certification for preschool, kindergarten and also for early elementary. She was a head teacher at Brooklyn Heights Montessori School (BHMS), where she taught preschool and kindergarten for 10 years. Kerstin was the founding teacher for the early elementary program, 1st and 3rd, at BHMS and taught there for 10 years. She was also the librarian. Kerstin has two grown children. This is her fifth year at WMS.
