Odette Botelho

Odette was raised in Westport, Massachusetts. Her family is originally from the Azores, which are nine Portuguese islands 900 miles off the coast of Portugal. Odette received her B.A. in Early Childhood Education and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She also holds an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College. She is New York State certified and licensed to teach from birth to sixth grade. Odette has attended a weeklong conference in Reggio Emilia, Italy to learn about the early childhood schools and teaching methods in the area. Odette has completed her Yoga training for children through Karma Kids and is certified to teach yoga to ages 1-18. This is her ninth year at WMS.
