Rachel Brotman
Studio Music Teacher, Hudson St
Rachel is a native New Yorker, born and raised in lower Manhattan. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tulane University in New Orleans, where she studied jazz vocal performance and piano. Her approach to teaching is informed by her experience in New Orleans, where music is an integral product of culture, time and place, always surrounded in story. This is Rachel's third year at Washington Market, teaching through the Timbalooloo method developed by longtime WMS music teacher Oran Etkin. She is also an active composer and performer.
