Rita Tong

Rita is happy to be at The Washington Market School for her fourth year! Rita was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in Southern California. She has her M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Teachers College and is currently studying for her Ed. Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education at Bank Street College. Rita believes that teaching is both a science and an art and that education is a lifelong pursuit. In her spare time Rita enjoys reading, shopping, sleeping, doing yoga, traveling the world and visiting her niece and nephew in Minneapolis. She is very excited for what she is sure will be a fantastic year at WMS!
