Ronnie Moskowitz
Head of School
Since 1976, when she founded WMS with 6 children in her loft apartment, Ronnie has been responsible for ensuring that WMS lives up to its goal of providing an exemplary educational experience for each and every child. Ronnie is the often unseen eyes in every classroom, known to and familiar with each child, and always available to help teachers with challenging issues. She meets bi-weekly with the entire staff to discuss curriculum and child development issues, sits in on team meetings at both sites, and meets regularly with our Child Development Consultant. Together with the Site Directors, she plans professional development workshops for our staff. Ronnie also meets with parents to discuss their children's progress and provides consultations regarding the ongoing schools selection process. She serves on the Board of Trustees for WMS and also for the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY). She is the school’s official liaison to all City and State licensing and regulatory agencies, as well as to several local community and educational organizations.
