We are looking for group teachers who have had some experience in early childhood education or relevant field experience. They will work with other professionals in a team of three to share strengths and skills. Candidates should have knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The hours of employment for the 2021-2022 school year are either 8:15 – 3:30 PM, or 8:15 – 4:30 PM depending on the specific class. Our 21-22 school year begins August 30th and ends the third week of June. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Our school incorporates Dr. Montessori’s principles with the influences of the Reggio Emilia approach. We are an ISAAGNY (Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York) non-profit school of children aged 2-6 and a full-time teaching staff of 43. Our school pays full health benefits including dental, midwifery and therapeutic. After a year’s employment, the school offers a 5% salary match for our annual 401K benefit.
