Both our half day and full day programs are grounded in our blended Montessori and Reggio approach that gives children the space to observe, explore, ask questions, and connect. On a typical day, students participate in focused work time, studio classes, group meetings, and gross motor activities. Children in the full day program eat lunch and have rest time at school. All of our classrooms are staffed with three exceptional teachers.
Age Requirements for 2024-25 School Year
AM, PM, & Full Day 2s: Your child must be 2 years old by September 9th, 2024.
Full Day: Your child must be 3 years old by September 9th, 2024. All children with birthdays from 9/9/2021 - 6/1/2019 are eligible.
Extended Day Program:
Our Extended Day program for Hudson Street families offers a wonderful opportunity for children enrolled in our Full Day 3-5s program to extend their school day from 3:00-6:00 p.m., providing a seamless transition for families with busy schedules. Extended Day boasts an exciting array of studio activities, including gymnastics, chess, music, and art. These diverse after school offerings ensure our children engage in a variety of enriching experiences during their extended time at school. Parents may enroll their children for the full year, five days per week, or for specific days based on their designated studio class(es) of interest.

Most families new to The Washington Market School join us in the afternoon for their first year. Explore the unique strength of the community that sets the afternoons apart, cultivating a supportive and enriching preschool experience for both children and parents.
